Visiting the Texas State Capitol when you come to Austin is a must. The Capitol is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as well as being a National Historic Landmark. The view of the building and its well-manicured grounds is almost as spectacular was what you will find inside the building, which is the Texas legislature: the house and senate chambers.
